Presentation

In late 2013, António Zambujo released a CD/DVD that was a live recording of his concert at the Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon the year before. This album represented the corollary of the series of five high-quality studio albums that had led to this Alentejo fado singer touring all over the world. Quinto, the album he released in 2012, has now been in the Portuguese best-selling albums charts for over a hundred weeks, an extraordinary record that has resulted in António Zambujo’s being awarded a Platinum Disc.

Internationally, António Zambujo has gained the status of one of the leading figures in Portuguese culture over the last few years, having performed live at some of the most important concert venues in every continent of the world. The icing on the cake was his performance at the mythical Carnegie Hall, in New York, in early 2014. His new record of original songs will be in the shops in November, marking the beginning of a fresh tour that promises to fill concert halls all over the world. Let’s hop onto the back of Zambujo’s Lambretta scooter and set off on a genuine journey through what we call music.
