Built in the 1980s by landscape architect António Saraiva, the Vasco da Gama garden is composed of a large central lawn outlined and framed by rows of trees and bushes. Located near the picturesque Rua Vieira Portuense, its name pays tribute to the great discoverer of the maritime route to India.
